Rockland Main Street is pleased to be partnering with City of Rockland and Maine Cruise to coordinate PortShare Promise Midcoast. It the priority for RMS to balance the needs of our local businesses that range from retail to restaurant and those of our cruise guests; with this in mind we are implementing the following offerings:
A welcome booth where information about downtown businesses can be easily accessed;
Walking informational tours highlighting Rockland's history and downtown;
Rockland Main Street, Inc., is a focused partnership of residents, businesses, and local government that seeks to preserve and enhance the unique sense of place and economic vitality of downtown Rockland, Maine, while working to create a place of shared prosperity, equal access to opportunity, and inclusive engagement.
Our vision for a welcoming downtown is one in which residents and visitors enjoy access to our diverse art scene, award-winning restaurants, and one-of-a-kind shops. We believe Rockland’s natural assets, historic working waterfront, creative industry, and walkable downtown create a vibrant year-round community.
